A Study on Dental Implants Provides Evidence of What We've Been Saying All Along
If you are missing one or more teeth, and you have researched tooth replacement options, you might already be aware of the claims made about dental implants—that they can actually improve your quality of life. Now a new study on dental implants provides evidence to back up this statement.
According to an article published in the Journal of Clinical and Experiment Dentistry, patient satisfaction three years after having dental implants is higher than what scientists expected.

Overall Satisfaction Improvement in the Long-Term After Dental Implants
The study followed 79 patients between the ages of 39 to 81 who were missing several teeth. All received titanium implants that were restored with either a single crown or a partial fixed denture. Before the implants were placed, all were given a questionnaire to fill out that addressed their oral health quality of life both from a physical and psychological standpoint. The results of each questionnaire were given a number.
Two and three years after undergoing the dental implant surgery, these same participants were given the same questionnaire. The results clearly suggested that quality of life improved dramatically for those who now had dental implants. Those over the age of 60 were particularly impacted.
